professional, it is the owner’s responsibility to verify the business
has the appropriate licenses and insurance coverage.

commencing work, it is the owner’s responsibility to obtain proper
permits and sign offs from responsible city agencies. If your property is
located in a historic district or is land-marked, it is necessary to
obtain a Certificate of Appropriateness from the Cultural Heritage Commission as well as building permits.
